Three BomhardIP Attorneys Appointed to 2016-2017 INTA Committees
Verena von Bomhard, Giles Corbally and Johannes Fuhrmann have been appointed to International Trademark Association (INTA) committees for the 2016-2017 term.
Verena von Bomhard, Partner, will chair the Trademark Office Practices Committee, coordinating the work of eleven regional Sub-Committees. Verena has been a very active member of INTA for 20 years in various positions, including co-chairing an Annual Meeting. In 2014, she received the Volunteer Service Award for the Advancement of Trademark Law from INTA.
Giles Corbally, Partner, will be chair of the European National Trademark Office Practices SubCommittee. This Sub-Committee monitors the practices of trademark offices in Europe (both EU and beyond) and informs the membership of the association of significant developments.
Johannes Fuhrmann, Associate, will serve on the Non-Traditional Marks Committee, which develops and advocates the Association’s policy regarding the balanced protection of non-traditional trademarks (e.g., sound, color, trade dress).
Besides INTA, Bomhard IP is also active in other associations such as ECTA, MARQUES, GRUR, ASIPI and AIPPI.
