Alena Fischer is a Senior Associate at BomhardIP. She has been active in trade mark law since 2011. She has been recognized by Managing IP as a Rising Star and as a Leading Practitioner by World IP Review. Moreover, in 2019, Alena was selected as one of 20 female trailblazers in IP law.
Alena advises clients on complex and multijurisdictional trade mark matters including overall strategy of trade mark portfolio development, management, protection, and enforcement. She handles all kinds of proceedings before the EUIPO and has extensive experience in relation to multijurisdictional trade mark clearance. Alena is also an expert in EU-wide customs matters, including applications for actions and customs enforcement.
Alena takes an active role in developing and defending strong brands. She is praised for her creativity and practical and commercial approach to achieve our client’s goals both effectively and efficiently.
After her initial experience in a law firm in Prague and at the Czech Supreme Administrative Court, she broadened her expertise in the EUIPO’s Boards of Appeal as a legal assistant drafting decisions on appeals related to various trade mark matters. Before joining BomhardIP in 2017, she worked as an associate in an international law firm in Alicante.
Alena is a European Trademark and Design Attorney and a member of the Czech Chamber of Patent and Trademark Attorneys. She holds a master degree in IP law from Queen Mary and the Technical University of Dresden. Apart from her native Czech, she is fluent in English, German and Spanish.
She is active in trade mark associations, including INTA where she currently chairs the Young Practitioners Subcommittee.
In her free time, Alena enjoys rock climbing, wakeboarding, snowboarding and any other outdoors sports bringing joy and adrenalin.
