IP protection at the Mobile World Congress 2016

For the second year running, the Barcelona IP Courts have approved a Protocol to guarantee a fast-track procedure to deal with IP infringement conflicts that could arise during the Mobile World Congress. The MWC will be held in Barcelona from 22 to 25 February 2016, and during those days, the Barcelona IP Courts will be on watch. In case of infringement of patents, designs or trademarks protecting exhibited products, or in case of unfair competition and illegal advertising related to these, the Protocol guarantees a preferential treatment for IP owners requesting urgent protection. Consequently, the Courts may grant preliminary measures within only two days from the filing of the request without a prior hearing.
